THERAPIST

Sandy Wiley, LCSW

I have been interested in psychology ever since I can remember and it has been an honor, and a blessing to watch others enrich their lives in so many rewarding ways.

With over 20 years of experience, my continuing education as a therapist has not only involved course work, but the clients themselves have often been my best teachers! I received my Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College in 1997 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004. Some of the treatment modalities that I have found to be the most effective are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy just to name a few. I believe that every person is unique. I like to help facilitate a ‘teamwork’ approach with a lot of feedback from everyone. To help them reach their desired goals and to lead a more fulfilling life!

In addition to working with people on an individual basis, I also work with families who want to learn to communicate more effectively in an environment that promotes healing. Some of the issues that I treat include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, grief and loss, and complex PTSD.

I enjoy working with people from adolescence through adulthood including the elderly. Right now, I am working on Thursdays but am looking to expand my practice further. I am currently undergoing Gestalt Certification training.

I find my own personal healing through swimming, singing, walking in nature and spending time with friends and family. I truly believe that every person deserves an opportunity to become the person that he or she is meant to be!
