My professional practice has covered a wide range of activities within the field of mental health, from administrative, national trainer, consultant, supervisor, and in direct service as a psychotherapist. Outside of my work I enjoy being with my family, and my mixed yorkie, Bella. In my spare time, I love to read non-fiction and venture out to flea markets to get a good find!

With over 20 years of experience, my continuing education as a therapist has not only involved course work, but the clients themselves have often been my best teachers! I received my Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College in 1997 and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004. Some of the treatment modalities that I have found to be the most effective are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy just to name a few. I believe that every person is unique. I like to help facilitate a ‘teamwork’ approach with a lot of feedback from everyone. To help them reach their desired goals and to lead a more fulfilling life!
In addition to working with people on an individual basis, I also work with families who want to learn to communicate more effectively in an environment that promotes healing. Some of the issues that I treat include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, grief and loss, and complex PTSD.
I enjoy working with people from adolescence through adulthood including the elderly. Right now, I am working on Thursdays but am looking to expand my practice further.
I find my own personal healing through swimming, singing, walking in nature and spending time with friends and family. I truly believe that every person deserves an opportunity to become the person that he or she is meant to be!
Specialty:
Depression/Anxiety, trauma related interventions and Women’s empowerment work.
Office Schedule:
Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12pm-7:00pm
I’m a licensed professional counselor and certified school counselor. My therapeutic work focuses on the whole individual and charting a path to improvement based on what method best fits them. To foster therapeutic growth, I believe in client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed treatment.
My specialty is working with men’s issues; however, I am also open to working with women, children, and adolescents (10 years and up). I have treated clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, executive functioning issues, developmental disorders, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment disorders.
I view the therapeutic process as a supportive and collaborative endeavor led by the client’s needs. Through openness, humor, and warmth, I aim to foster a supportive, trusting, and safe environment for clients to explore solutions. I draw from various modalities to meet client needs, including, but not limited to, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral therapy.
